The 2026 national budget for the program rose to ₱6.5 billion, and per-hectare rice and corn coverage rose from ₱20,000 to ₱25,000.

The starting interest rate is 15% per year, inclusive of all finance charges, and it steps down by 1 point each cycle from the third cycle onward for borrowers in good standing, to a floor of 9%. PCIC fully subsidizes the rice crop insurance premium for participating subsistence farmers.

Individual borrowers may access up to ₱300,000; registered micro and small enterprises may access up to ₱15 million, subject to the lending partner's approval. Interest is 2% per year plus a service fee of up to 3.5%, payable over as long as 5 years.
